Recently there have been some new research that have found that there is no particular automatic link between dyslexia itself and eye problems and it is being welcomed by Dyslexia Action in particular. For more details about the research , it was done at the universities of Bristol and Newcastle and it consisted of having examined eye tests among five thousand eight hundred and twenty two children.
In more detail to the research itself the researchers has compared the test results of those children with severe dyslexia to those that did not have severe dyslexia. The vision tests themselves had included moving both eyes with the combination of information from both. The tests were conducted with the children aged between seven and nine years old in particular.
It is problems with segmenting and manipulating word sounds that make it difficult to crack the phonics code that is critical for reading and spelling
