Developing medicines for ASD are promising, and studies show that most children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) learn to use words even if they have a late start, that ASD is not due to poor parenting, and that risk of ASD can be lowered by taking prenatal folic acid. In addition, early, high-quality intervention, which could now be made even earlier due to presymptom markers and should also be applied to younger siblings, can improve behavior, brain function, and decrease qualities of ASD. One method is to teach a classmate how to be friends with people with ASD.
