These days, autism is a condition still largely unknown. How can we, as a community, come to a greater understanding of this mysterious condition? How can we help others learn more about autism in order to develop a greater understanding overall? One characteristic of autistic people is that the world around them may seem too overwhelming. They often view situations as being quite “frantic”, and this may cause them to try and escape if they feel threatened. For parents of autistic children, this may mean they may find themselves in difficult situations if their children become lost. New technology in the form of tracking devices for these children are being developed, and these can bring a new peace of mind to the parent/guardian of an autistic child or adult!
