ADHD is a brain disorder that affects many individuals. It occurs when the two hemispheres of the brain work at different speeds, sometimes known as a functional disconnect. Although we aren’t sure what causes ADHD, we do know it occurs more often in boys. Symptoms include hyperactivity and the inability to pay attention.
