President Obama is putting a call out to the scientific community to further research the brain. By funding a variety of different organizations, like DARPA, the NIH, and the NSF, President Obama seeks to develop new models of how the brain works, which would help many people. For this project, Obama seeks to understand how the brain actually makes decisions, how information is stored and processed, and have a better understanding of why certain brain diseases occur.
