Creating a Montessori Environment in the Home (Infograph)

Most parents who send their children to a Montessori school so that their child can develop natural interests and activities rather than use formal teaching methods. In order to mirror the program, there are several things the parents can implement in the home. Bring it to their level. Make art supplies and things that bring out their natural curiosity more accessible to the child, this fosters a sense of independence and confidence. Also, think about the size of their furniture. It's much less frustrating when things they want are the right size and within reach. Children like to be clean so be sure that the sink is within easy reach. Practice the adage, "everything in its place" as this will keep the frustration of lost items to a minimum. A few simple changes will make all the difference in helping your child develop to their fullest potential because "learning is a lifestyle"!
