Dysgraphia: What You’re Seeing in Your Preschooler (Infograph)

Dysgraphia is a much underestimated condition, especially in today’s children. Dysgraphia can cause a host of issues for a child, from at home to in the classroom, if left untreated. Fortunately, the warning signs are somewhat easy to spot if you know what to look for. For example, dysgraphia can cause pain or discomfort while writing or drawing, due to dysgraphia causing issues with fine motor skills and tiny muscles; difficulty drawing shapes or tracing; and getting tired easily when drawing or writing for any period of time. Identifying writing issues during the preschool years can help your child avoid more serious academic struggles later, and will get them the help they need to be on the path to success.
