Dyslexia: What You’re Seeing in Your Preschooler (Infograph)

This article is about how you can recognize dyslexia in a preschool-age child. The first warning sign is in the way your child speaks – he or she may mispronounce words, or have limited ability and knowledge to use language in comparison with their peers. In addition, your child may confuse symbols such as numbers, alphabets, and objects due to the brain being unable to process language correctly. Other features include the inability of a child to recognize rhymes or follow complete directions or commands since they may only “hear” the beginning or end of what you tell them.
