First five years (Infograph)

Making the First Five Count is encouraging heightened awareness of childhood disabilities. It is noted that there is a significant lack in the early diagnosis of developmental delay. The statistics supporting a national deficit in the awareness of early childhood disabilities are staggering. There is a great need to encourage the identification of these issues within the first years of early development. There are numerous infants born daily with developmental limitations. The entire nation is lacking in the identification and treatment of these children. We must work diligently to encourage early diagnosis as well as early intervention in the lives of our youth. It is pertinent to end the suffering of the vast number of undiagnosed kids entering the school systems.
