There are a variety of decisions which determine the ideal path for post high school education. Additionally, there is more to the decision than to simply decide whether or not to pursue higher education. One must decide whether to pursue a two year or a four year degree, attend a liberal arts college or large university, and even whether or not to take a year off before pursuing higher education to go ahead and gain real world experience.
