When you spare a child from struggling, does it help or hurt in the long run? None of us likes to struggle but before we swoop in to rescue our children from a struggle, we need to evaluate if what we’re doing would be beneficial for them. Struggling is horrible and unbearable, but without it, there is no growth. We are preventing our children from reaching their full potential when we help them with their struggles. When children learn to get through their struggle, they learn how to push past their comfort zone, and ultimately increase their capacity to reach goals and contribute to the world.
