We all feel good when we are praised especially when we know that we did something right. This is more important for a child's praise. Praise helps motivate them to learn more and it also builds their confidence. Telling your child "well done" is a very nice thing to do and it is a form of "praise". But for them to do better, they need "fact-based praise" that would explain "why" their work is good.
