Learning Through Play (Infograph)

Children use play to learn and develop. Several types of play are highlighted and presumably the most important. Construction play teaches children to take turns and share. Arts allow children to explore complex ideas and their environment. Dramatic play allows children to try different perspectives safely and develop a broader identity and empathy. Music allows children to develop coordination and response to sight and sound. The use of bright colors makes this info-graphic feel happy and alive. Clouds and ladders give the sense of the topics building on one another. Several sections have edges that fit together giving the sense the ideas are pieces to a puzzle that make a complete picture. Some graphics extend from one area to another giving the sense of bridging ideas and create a cognitive movement. This also gives the viewer a natural way to follow the images as it gives a sense of momentum.
