It starts by acknowledging that many people do not understand the potentials impacts of dyslexia beyond its effect on reading ability. The larger categories identified by the article are language, reading, writing, and socializing skills. Each of these lists between four and twelve skills within the category. It also has a section for other skills that do not fall into the previous four categories, such as maintaining self-esteem and spatial skills.
