Many myths surround dyslexia, and most are wrong. Many people believe that dyslexics are less intelligent than the general population and are intellectually lazy. In truth, most are of above or average intelligence because their brains are wired different. They actually work harder when processing language. Another myth is that dyslexia is rare. It isn’t. Around 20% of the population has dyslexia.
