Lugnegard, Hallerback and Gillberg conducted research on adult patients with autism spectrum disorders and Asperger Syndrome. According to their report published many patients experienced major depression and anxiety disorder. Few of the patients diagnosed with psychosis, recurrent hallucinations, bulimia nervosa, dependence disorders, attention deficit and Tourette Syndrome.
