When you think about math, what does it bring to mind? Chances are you might think that it brings thoughts of anxiety to mind. In fact, many kindergartners enter the school system already behind in their math skills from day one. Often if it is too hard then a child will get frustrated. Those that come from poverty are more at risk than any other child.

Math Matters group to assist in math intervention with children.

The important lesson to learn is to help provide parents with the tools that they can educate their children about math. A group known as Math Matters is bringing scholarships to lower resource homeschool children to help and bridge that gap with learning math. The group is also developing partnerships in order to bring more information to the local community.
