Have you ever thought that those that are good in math are almost like human calculators? The truth is that if you are like most people, which is exactly what you think. But, one teacher is setting out to defy that thought process but teaching his students in a way where they are thinkers and not human calculators.

Now, if a student was lacking the “want to,” I would have a long conversation about their attitude. Kids that persevere and keep working, even when they don’t understand, usually end up figuring the concept out.
