Studies have shown that students who took Common Core Algebra 1 in ninth grade were 80 percent less likely to have to do it again. All students now take Common Core Algebra 1 in the ninth grade. This is increasing the student understanding and knowledge of Algebra. Common Core Math gives students the knowledge and skills they need for college and career.

A lot of children across the U.S. were graduating without enough understanding of math a few years ago. So mathematicians and teachers studied how math is taught in countries where students do good on math tests. The result they came up with was the Common Core. This changed how math was taught.
Common Core Math is a set of new standards of learning.
