Motion-sensing cells in eye let brain ‘know’ about directional changes

Cortex, the six-layered structure in the outer part of our brains is where the outside world perceptions are processed. The new detailed study from the UC San Diego talks about the neurons linking the eyes and brains of mice to figure out and process directional movements. Direction sensing has been known for about half a sencuty, but no one knew hot to follow their connections deep into the brain.
