Dyslexia teaching workshop #dyslexia

A special workshop was held in Bendingo, Australia, for parents and teachers who want to help students dealing with dyslexia and other learning challenges.Led by LD Network director Deborah Zang and teacher and learning coach Karen Dymke from Thoughtful Works, the workshop focused on helping students advance through primary upper school.

A dyslexia and learning issues specialist for the past ten years, Zang belongs to the state Department of Education’s learning difficulties and dyslexia reference group. Meanwhile Ms Dymke is a professor at La Trobe University. The two women discussed how to help students in the classroom, at home, and in transition stages.
