Gwen Stefani The Voice and Dyslexia

Gwen Stefani was plagued by a disability of dyslexia. As a child she looked for other avenues to express herself and found that singing and sewing her some things that she enjoyed. She found these things through play with her sister, Jill, and inspiration from her seamstress mother who taught her what she knows.

“Gwen Stefani encourages children with dyslexia to not let it discourage them from following their dreams.”

Finding her hidden talents kept Gwen Stefani encouraged through her difficulty of dealing with the school struggles due to dyslexia. By focusing on her talents she went on to achieve great success not only in music but also in fashion, when she launched her own fashion line. She is now newly engaged to be married.
