Improving a child’s reading fluency will help them read aloud with expression and obvious understanding. This article not only includes ways to gauge a child’s reading fluency, but also includes helpful practices to improve fluency. Examples of ways to build reading fluency are practicing sight words, re-reading text, and reading frequently.
