Introducing the Expanded Children’s Book Week 2017

The Children’s Book Council’s Every Child a Reader is celebrating the 98th annual Children’s Book Week by increasing its number of promotional events. Among the initiative’s highlights this year are the recently renovated Children’s Choice Book Awards, a new online website, and additional promotional materials for bookstores, schools, and libraries.

“The charitable arm of the Children’s Book Council, has announced its plan to enhance Children’s Book Week, the longest-running national literacy initiative in the country, launched in 1919”.

Children’s Book Week will also feature the popular Children’s Choice Book Awards in which voting will occur from February 28, 2017 and continue through May 7. Any interested stores, libraries, and schools can host balloting for the awards. The award winners will announced on May 31, 2017, at the BookExpo.
