Jewel is a famous singer, but she had many problems in her life with reading and she had dyslexia. Jewel said that she never thought she would become a writer and she credits some teachers who helped her a lot with her reading. She was also in a philosophy program and became inspired to keep learning. Her experience inspired her to write a hit song called "Who Will Save Your Soul" which is a very famous song.
