Eniola Onakoya founded the Pearl Reading Centre, which wants to help people with dyslexia work on their difficulties due to the condition. She started the foundation because she was an English teacher who had a student with dyslexia that had been untreated. She found that many parents are in denial after their children are first diagnosed, and that the center is best at helping teachers and parents gain awareness of the condition and how to best treat it.
