NEW Desktop App Now Helps Even More Struggling Readers

As a parent of child with a disability, the one thing that I always wanted was for him to be able to learn to read. I have always felt that reading was the key to success for my son. However, teaching him how to read has been a challenge. Although he loves to be read to, he has difficulty focusing long enough to read more than a paragraph. He has difficulty with following the lines of words (visual tracking) and has difficulty recalling what he was just reading (visual memory). However new technology is now available to assist my son. A new app can help him focus on what he is reading, and allow him to follow along easier. This new technology can build his self-confidence by providing him a tool to help him read.

This new app will help struggling readers to read web pages and digital documents. It is a digital version of the popular “Reading Focus Cards” that works on computer desktops and Microsoft Surface tablets, and can help readers with ADHD, dyslexia, and other conditions which impact reading ability. With this new app, users have control over visual aspects of the reading material to make it easier for them to read. What a wonderful use of technology!
