Unplug the phone, turn off the news, light the light and read together

Imagine being able to explore other worlds right in your own home, on your own time. To be able to turn a page and instill in a child the love of reading, giving them the love of books and at the same time, enhancing your relationship with them by showing them that there is more than just phones and television.

The plan was simple: We would start a book club for our 5-year-old sons. Bennett and Bean had just started kindergarten and were crazy for stories.

The power of a good story, be it a simple short story or an epic novel, knows no boundaries. There are no age limitations or restrictions because of race or gender, the only key to the club needed is a love of books and well written stories and the willingness to lose the electronics in your life and instead lose yourself in the story. Take the time to introduce your children to another world; they will thank you for it.
