There are billions of dollars that are in the balance for many public schools as they await a deal from Congress that will give them funds amidst the pandemic. There are a lot of issues that have been brought on by the pandemic and schools are in need of funds from the government. If they do not get them, then there will be even more issues. There are billions of dollars that will be sent to them once a deal is approved.

As talks over the economic recovery package remain in jeopardy, public schools may once again lose out on tens of billions of federal aid, money they say they desperately need to reopen as they face mounting costs and shrinking budgets.
