There are some academic losses that many will deal with due to the pandemic, but Seattle is trying to find a way to bridge the achievement gaps for next year. Math and reading are two subjects that students have been struggling with a lot. Since the pandemic, performance in math and reading has gone down significantly. There is data that shows how learning slows in the Summer months, but with this pandemic, that decline has accelerated greatly.
