Nathan Goodly has a lot of great info on IEP's and what they entail. The IEP is a legal document and they need to be implemented in a way that follows the rules. There are laws that dictate what can be done in the education world. IEP meetings have a greater chance of success if staff members listen and have apathy for the people they work with. The goal for IEP is for students to meet their goals.
Key Takeaways:
1
IEPs are needed for compliance
2
There are assessments and laws tied to IEPs
3
IEPs are more likely to succeed if the staff shows empathy
