Girls are reporting new test scores that are worth a look. The STEM careers are proving to be a challenge for them though. Their test scores might reveal some trends that are worth some consideration. Teachers and other educators hope to put more girls in the STEM field. Their higher art scores could open careers in other fields for them. But that leaves STEM without as many girls and that is a worrying trend too.

Last month, the Australian Academy of Science published a report showing the COVID-19 pandemic would disproportionately affect women in the STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) disciplines.
