Any parent would attest that they only want what is best for their children. For this mom, who has dyslexia of her own, she does not want her son to suffer from it as well. But since dyslexia is hereditary, she fears that her son might have dyslexia as well. In this post, she shared vital information that can be use to identify whether your child has dyslexia or not.

People with dyslexia don’t use their brain the same way that most of us do. Their brain underutilizes the left hemisphere—the area required for reading—and the bridge of tissue between the two sides of the brain (the corpus callosum) doesn’t function in the same way.

According to the author, there is a 50% chance that a child will have dyslexia if one parent has it and 100% if both parents do have it. It is also said that most boys tend to suffer from dyslexia than with girls. Although dyslexia is having the difficulty in learning how to read and spell, they can still learn. It is good to know that there is a dictionary and a font that will assist people who suffer from dyslexia.
We can do hard things! We are not alone. So many people are involve in making sure that they are aware of dyslexia!
