It is important to have your kids screened for a disability in learning before they hit grade 1 in school. They probably will not be though. Dyslexia needs to be caught early though, so it is almost criminal to wait too long without having a diagnosis. If it is caught early, then they will have a better chance of success at learning how to read. A lot of kids have symptoms early on and they are not caught till later.

Ever think about when children should start being screened for learning differences? Here's an argument for screening them early, before they start Grade 1.
