Now students that are in kindergarten in the Berkshires will get ready for going back to school in a new way. The Berkshire United Way Day of Caring campaign is for their annual Day of Caring will bring together over 1,200 new “literacy kit backpacks” as they are coining the gift. They will be filled with books, school supplies, and resources for the families.

What is the best way to get kids excited about reading? You want to start young and involve exciting experiences around reading. In fact, currently, there are new programs that are being started to get children to read at a younger age. Reading at a younger age can build a better foundation for learning later on.
