No Summer Learning Loss Here! Resources to Help ALL Summer Long!—Part 3

Help for Struggling Readers, is an amazing article that lists an amazing amount of resources parents can go to for help keeping their kids learning when they are out of school. I absolutely love how it explains the importance of keeping children engaged even in the summer when they are on break from school.

Summer learning provides a great opportunity for students struggling with reading to catch up.

The article also gives examples of the child being taken care of by grandparents, or childcare, and how important it is to gather activities and give the caregivers clear instructions for each one. Those ways the child can still be engaged even with the parents are at work. I think this article touches on a subject a lot of parents don’t really talk about but should, and to go as far as to give parents ideas and resources just makes it that much better.
We hope our research efforts here on your behalf will make easy work of a task that could take days or weeks to complete. We also hope that your children or those you assist in your classroom will benefit from these resources, promoting better literacy and learning skills—ALL summer long!
