Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) is a neurological condition that muddles the sufferer’s reactions to and experiences of sensations. SPD usually results in difficulties in social behavior, emotion, and behavior. The STAR Center has begun dispensing scholarships to families of children with SPD that allow for Occupational Therapy. The individualized program the STAR Center offers to these children has been reported as “life-changing”.
