It is estimated that now one in 68 children have some form of autism. Researchers are waiting to see what kind of progress is being made. These autistic children can make progress and want to show signs of improvement in good time too. Parents are pleased by the research work that is now getting underway.

One in 68 children in the U.S. has autism spectrum disorder (ASD). As an occupational therapist, I’ve seen firsthand how ASD makes life-changing impacts on a child’s ability to succeed in life and school, builds barriers for teachers trying to provide instruction, and creates hardship for families.
