This article describes how nearly fifty 5th and 6th graders from eight different area schools participated in a competitive “Mathalon” at the Woodlands Academy to test their reasoning and problems solving skills. Recognition is provided for those teams that received first place through fifth place honors. In addition, it provides an overview of the Woodlands Academy, a Catholic day and boarding High School. The article ends with referencing a resource that provides accolades to all girl schools.
