Magician Dennis Regling likes to say that people see math every day, but they just don’t always realize it. He proved his statement with magic by performing various tricks that required math, such as patterns, fractions, and measurements on Family Math Night at Penn Hills Elementary School.

Helena Prevost is a first-grader who received a certificate for being “teacher assistant” last week. She said math, especially addition and subtraction, is one of her favorite subjects, and she enjoyed everything about the magician’s performance.
