One in 68 people have been diagnosed with autism. There are several projects and start-ups that are striving to help people with autism. For example, the Independence Day Clothing line designs clothes which are easy to put on, and which also contain a GPS chip. Brain Power is a company in Cambridge, Massachusetts which designs apps specifically for children with autism. Additionally, a product called the Snug Vest has been launched, which applies pressure to the body, mimicking the feeling of a hug. Such products give relief and hope to thousands of people with autism and their families.
